About

Amy Gibbs is an Artist, Graphics & Textile Designer and Content Creator residing in the picturesque seaside town of Point Lonsdale, Victoria.

Amy graduated with a Bachelor of Creative Arts majoring in Visual Communication Design at Deakin University in 2017. In early 2022, Amy took the plunge to resign from her office role and work for herself full-time as an Artist and Freelance Designer. Since then, she has been lucky enough to engage in freelance work with a number of different small and large-scale businesses.

Her previous workplaces include global retailers Cotton On Body and Rubi, where she worked as a Textile and Graphics Designer for almost 5 years. She has also previously worked within the branding/marketing sector for leading Geelong design company Paul Kelly Creative.

In May 2020, Amy's artwork "Native Rainbow" was selected from over 1000 entries to be a winner of the Kip&Co Art Series 2020. This piece was produced into a tea towel and sold through Kip&Co in May 2021. She was also featured on the cover of Geelong Advertiser's GT Magazine in September 2020, accompanied by a double page spread showcasing her artist story and the message behind her inspiration.

Amy's first solo exhibition "It’s A Colour-Full Life" launched in March 2022 through online powerhouse Jumbled and was a complete sell out! You can also find her work (on occasion, when it's in stock) at various small retailers all over Australia. If you are interested in stocking Amy's original art, prints and/or greeting cards, product collaborations or content creation, please reach out via her contact page.

On weekends and in her spare time, Amy enjoys; long walks on the beach with her husband Jake, daughter Tallulah and their two dogs Alfie (Jack Russell) and Bowie (Golden Retriever), playing netball, socialising with her friends over cheese platters and G&T's, online shopping, mothering her 26 indoor house plants, painting and listening to true crime or celebrity and pop culture podcasts.
